Who needs a soul infusion? Better question…who doesn’t need a soul infusion? Well, I got the cure for you because Billy Lee gots the soul baby!! His smooth tones will have you swaying your hips and looking for a partner to rub up against. Speaking of which, anybody want to dance with me? I’m listening to Billy Lee and I’m definitely in the mood to move.
I’m really diggin Billy Lee’s, Beside Myself. His experience show’s through in this groovin’ CD. Billy’s been around making music since the early 80’s and has worked with such greats such as Sly of Sly and the Family Stone and grammy award nominated guitarist and saxophonist Pat Herlehy. And that’s not to mention sharing the stage with well known rock and R & B pioneers like Chubby Checker and The Drifters.
His music is easy….easy to move to, easy to sing along with, and yeah…easy to fuck to! When I listen to Billy’s outlook on life through his music I can’t help but feel good. I also can’t help tapping my foot and snapping my fingers. Not only will Billy’s music appeal to the Indie artist music, college radio music and underground music fan but will extend to a more commercial audience as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear Billy’s 'Beside Myself' rhythms all over R & B radio stations around the world.
Beside Myself is comprised mostly of original tunes with a couple of great covers in the mix for good measure. Though I tend to be more drawn to his originals such as Totally and Can't Wait Too Long, I love how Billy puts the funk into the Beatles’Eleanor Rigby and let’s face it… his cover of Stevie Wonder’s Come Let Me Make Your Love Come Down simply turns me on! I highly recommend getting the funk out with Billy Lee. He will make you love him…..for the rest of your life!
