Rogue Charter is a hard rock band based in UK, London! It all started in 2018, when Troy and Bruno met by pure coincidence at the New Rose Studios in Camden Town.

After a quick talk it was clear that the two were going to work together on some ideas that were pushed back in previous band projects.

At the time, Bruno was renting a box room in that area and their lifestyle often brought Troy to crash at Bruno’s. Every day-after was a headache, and every headache was a new tune to work on.

Inspired by the dirty sound of 1980’s Hard Rock, obsessed by the unpredictability of things and a fair amount of Tennessee in bottles, Bruno and Troy came up with a 5 songs EP that were eventually recorded in studio and published in March 2020.

You can find the songs in the EP titled Ashmore Daze!

To this days Rogue Charter are active on writing songs and get their performance ready.

What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?

If you look at the history of Hard Rock, that is our history right there, and if we have to describe our sound we would say that it certainly is Raw and Bold.

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

We are lovers of motorcycle clubs and the culture of having charters around the world like a massive family. We thought we may as well start our own "club", and that is where Charter comes from. About the Rogue, that was the first word in our mind when we heard the first demo tape of Bad Habits (Last track in our EP Ashmore Daze).

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

Our main influences come from Hard Rock bands, like Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Skid Row and ACDC.
But also from Modern Rap artists like Yelawolf, Blues artists like Gary Moore, Country artists like Brad Paisley, Punk artists like Sex Pistols, Soul voices like Janis Joplin, though this list never ends and it is always subject to updates.

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

We have a collaboration going on, but is nothing to be published in the immediate future, however we launched a single few weeks ago titled Ruby and our next move will be a YouTube Acoustic Live Stream on the 19th of June, so we invite every reader or listener of The College Underground Radio to subscribe to our YouTube Channel!

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?

Headlining Worldwide Stadium Tours, delivering the message of our songs to the entire globe.
We only talk about action to the people who should listen to our plan.

What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?

Bruno's choice is Where Do You Come From because it's a tricky guitar part to play, counting the fact that we are not simply standing still.
Troy's choice is Stay Down On Your Knees, because he really doesn't stand time wasters and complainers, and also he never gets enough of loud vocals.

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?

A challenge we are still dancing on is to find the right people to work with.

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?

Most of the times one of us has an idea for a specific mood of the song we would be about to write.
Sometimes happens that Bruno's guitar riffs dictate a specific topic for Troy to talk about.
And other times, Troy comes up with lyrics or a topic that Bruno reads, so to understand what type of mood his next guitar riff will have.

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?

We only had regular jobs in retail and hospitality, just to make enough money to pay the rent, buy some other music gear and drinks.

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?

Do your homework, and do not take shit from anybody who doesn't turn words into action.

How Do You Feel About Originality?

Originality is found in one artist message and the way he wants it to be delivered.
