How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

The story behind my chosen name Jd Scrills is well at this stage I won't say where the JD comes from, but we all know Scrills/Scrilla is cash/money and I'll just leave it at that for now.

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

The main influences were: N.W.A and E-40, Bone-Thugs 'n' Harmony/Mo Thugs ( of course ☺☺),
Listen to Tech9, Twista Insane, as well these days. Just about anything with that fast flow

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

Yes currently have a few projects, not sayimg any names at the moment or have any release dates. You will have to keep an eye out on my facebook for information on new releases. Projects in the works, with a few of my own singles to be releases soon.

Hip-hop is mainly a passion of mine, I don't really do it for the money but of course any momey is good ☺
Well to give my family a better life is my main goal, and to have at least 1 single in the hip-hop top 100. Just to stir things up a little

Rollling up something and just zoning out, letting past, present and future jumbled mess just flow out and I write it down using that fast flow to give it a kick but the beat has to be basey with that unique melody.

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

I started only doing demo's approximately 3 years ago and then just chucked them up on facebook.

Social media was really a world I knew nothing about and it has helped me to not just rap for fun and introduced me to a lot of interesting people, good people that want to do nothing but help one another. It feels like its exactly where I belong.

On the streets and trying to stay out of trouble, making as much money as I could. Im not going into further details.

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?

Definitely listen to your elders especially the ones you know have been in the industry a long time, just be yourself, work hard and save that money. Invest in beats, promote yourself, have fun but remember its still a business so marketing is key but overall show love and respect and you will definitely get it back.

What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?
