What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound? 

Rap is the genre that I feel best describes my music. I've always been a talker. I used to kid around and say I created rap because during my adolescence years I'd be singing around the house and my sister would say, "you don't sing, you talk". (Lol) I'm just me, I'm different than the average. I would describe my sound as positive, encouraging inspirational. It's my voice, my vocals I get a lot of comments, my message people love the messages that I display and my creativity.

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

 How I got my name actually came from my birth name, Zandra Delicia White. I used my first name, Zandra, I took da from Zandra, li from Delicia and te from my last name, Zandra Dalite. I've always been considered to be a wise person and Dalite (The light) just fits my personality period.

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

Life is and has been the most influential impact on my music. The people around me, the things that I see, read, hear, watch, all of it plays a role in how I create my style.

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

What I'm working on now is I'm creating more songs and videos and other projects aside music. There will be future collaborations to look forward to at a later time.

One of my tracks which is an oldie I call it, the title is True Soldiers. This track used to hype the inmates up when I performed in the Georgia state penitentiary each week. They would start shouting, "more, more, more, more!"

The biggest challenge I have been facing for quite some time now, honestly, recording and producing my own music. I can't afford to pay for studio time so I do it myself I've always recorded myself. I worked 2 eight hour jobs in the past to be able to pay for studio time but I'm back to doing it myself now and I would like my music to sound like a professional should sound and I consider myself as a professional..

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?

My typical songwriting process is, what I do is I try and make sure my phone is with me at all times because I may just start talking and I record myself. I started recording myself whenever that happened, then I would go back and listen to it and create a song. I take action every time an ideal an emotion an experience a conversation anything could ignite an idea in my mind to create a message.

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

Social media has influenced my career phenomenally. The exposure, the fans, it is an inspiration and encouraging when fans give you positive comments about your style of music. The offers, the invites, all of it keeps you motivated and focused.

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?

Making music has always been a part of my life. I wrote a lot of poems, I recited them in public places. Before I came to be, I started out with a youth choir called "Spirit and Truth'. Album called Earth Alert and God's Home. Dealing with teens was a challenge, I started having problems keeping up with them as their interests changed. I decided to do my own songs, I called myself Dalite which later changed to Zandra Dalite.

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?

My advice to anyone, firstly love yourself. if you can't love yourself how can you love anything. It is imperative to stay positive and love whatever it is you do. Practice makes perfect so practice every day to be happy no matter what comes your way. Remain humble, success takes focus, dedication, determination, consistently. You have to love whatever it is that you do or desire to do. It's not an easy road and if you would like to succeed don't depend on no one except for you. You are in charge of your goals and dreams, quitting is not an option if you want to succeed period. Promote, promote, promote.

What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?

If I was a top music executive I would consider something different, something new, different than all the duplicates, a new flavor. something that would make a great impact on the music industry. I would make sure that artists are treated fairly.

I feel that originality is vital because no one can be you. You are one, you are like none other you are extraordinary. There are too many copycats, sound alike, I've always felt different than others and my style and creativity speaks for itself
