Jahi Ali-Bey, stage name Opulent Riches ventured into rap based upon his dealings with artist as a manager and noticed a lot of them are skilled in their craft but lack the business background to see their careers to fruition.

So Opulent decided to pursue the rap genre for his self and use the knowledge of the business to bring the dream to life. This way Opulent can have full control of his future and he does not need to compromise and babysit artist who have great skill sets in rap but lack the business knowledge and tenacity to achieve the common goal.

Opulent has opened for a few renowned artist: Freeway, Lords of the Underground, Beanie Sigel, Shakespeare, Lique, Peedi Crackk, Wise Intelligent and comedians as well. Opulent wants to entertain his fans as well as dazzle them with lyrical and visual concepts. He plans to start by wooing them with visuals.

Moving forward; his teams plan is to promote Opulent Riches music oversea via the USO to support our troops who lack the resources to get a lot of entertainment due to remote areas of duty. As an Honorably discharged veteran, Opulent understands the mental hardship overseas duty can have on a veteran, so he wants to give back to the vets first and foremost via the USO. In lieu of that, all tours that are offered are negotiable... Put'um on the table! Opulent's goal is to inspire and uplift our falling comrades, (men, women & children) who need a musical lift to recharge their mental & spiritual batteries and give realistic rebirth to dreams that have been lost..

"Opulent Riches" wrote a book called, "Borne Revolution Fight for Humanity". Opulent has a management company called, MA.F.I.A. MGT. "Making A Future In Artist" (We make your future Lit) . Opulent Riches has a brand for his fans called, "Opulent" slogan-(The Apex Of Wealth) which features catch lyrics/phrases from his music. What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?

Commercial Rap describes my genre. My sound is different and I know its a big risk in being different but I purposely sound different in hopes to show difference is not a bad thing, "dare to be different" and be a new trend-setter. Its no challenge in being the same but if you go against the grain it can make you or break you. I was born a fighter so I am up for the fight. If I come up with a win the gratification is beyond my greatest expectations.

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

I got my name from a friend as a joke based on how I live my life. I never expected to add Riches at the end of it because I was only going to use the song I wrote as a reference track. The word, "Opulent" is a common word with multiple uses and if I would have considered rapping as a career I would have never choose, "Opulent Riches" But here we are!!

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

My influences for rapping is weird as far as how it came to be, I have been in the artist management arena for years. My management. company is called, M.A.F.I.A. MGT. (MAKING-A-FUTURE-IN-ARTIST) I had two deals on the table, one with, Universal and one with Sony, long story short; my artist would not listen to me wholeheartedly, one foot in and one foot out. So years later after writing a reference track I decided to try writing another one as well and then I had an epiphany. Then "Opulent Riches" was borne, I decided to show my artist, if they would have listed to me they would have made it to stardom.

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

I really do not want to collaborate with anyone unless it a producer. Maybe later on in my career

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?

I plan on to tour the world and entertain the less fortunate as well as the wealthy. I also want to entertain all branches of the military to help build moral an fill the void if there is one. I'm ex-military and its a good feeling to have people from your Country preform and acknowledge your homeland when you have been out of the Country for long periods of time or in a war-time situation.

What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?

"At the Rendezvous" I love the flow and the fact that its the only wedding/marriage rap song I know of.

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?

Deciding which songs to tour with on a low budget and a place to practice my set to ensure a great performance for my fans

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?

listening to the track over and over again to get a feel for the flow that best reps the track. Coming up with a hook and then writing a concept around the hook and then deciding how many bars I want the verses and hook to be Finally adding ad-libs and extra sounds if needed

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

I really have not used social media to its fullest potential to influence my career yet.

My initial material will be released in late 2019 and is expected to be a smash among Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and Rap Culture world-wide. The essence of his theme centers on the philthy rich, hence the name, "OPULENT." His cliché is, "RETRO REBORN" Via mixing Old-School flavor with a New-Skool Punch. The up and coming release of his first CD is, "SODOM & GOMORRAH." OPULENT is going to release an official debut single from his SODOM & GOMORRAH CD. His camp has not decided which song he wants to debut as a single but it’s sure to be a head-banger.

From a managerial prospective, OPULENT knows an artist is only as good as their last hit so he endeavors to make classics that can leave a lasting impression on his fans for years to come whereby simultaneously paving the way to create a systemic legacy for his family and culture. OPULENT plans on collaborating projects with all genres of music and using music to bridge the gap in the world-wide racial divide bringing humanity closer together as one spiritual unit through his music. So hang on to your seats and wait for the long anticipated release, tour dates, clothing line and more. The substance of hip-hop is back! OPULENT is coming to an EAR near you.
