Charisma is a solo Gospel and R&B Soul artist who began writing poetry and then advanced into songwriting. A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Charisma says that the intention with her sound is to join spirits together universally.
Through her music she informs the listener that it’s not enough for you to have God in your life and him pushing you but you also have to have a confidence in yourself and confidence in the power of God, that gives, sustains and enhances one’s life. What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?
I feel that both R&B and Christian gospel are a great fit for my Genre. I believe I have a very unique sound for both, especially gospel it's not the typical old school sound that's generally heard. My R&B usually has a deeper musical arrangement I would say than most.
How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
My Name, great question Charisma by definition is known as a spiritual power or personal quality an individual has over large numbers of people as in charm, magnetism, or presence this fits me well no matter where I go I seem to attracted others attention even when not performing. Plus the name Charisma has a great Theological content and this I love.
What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
I can only speak broadly, due to having so many different influences. I have great love and respect for a number of R&B and Christian gospel artists.
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
Now I'm working on putting together a great performance with added dancers to give my show a little more pizazz. I'm also working on a video for my new single "Clubbin" which I'm very excited about. I've been asked to colab on some projects but just have not had the time.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?
My ultimate goal is to continue putting music together that my fans love and go as far in the music industry as this journey will take me. We've all heard this saying "The sky is the limit" I believe that if you adhere to this saying, you put limitations on your capabilities. I truly believe my musical journey is limitless. My plan of action is to become the best at Gods plans/purpose and pray that soon the right window of opportunity will open.
What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?
It's hard to say, but for now Clubbin has become my favorite track which I have not performed live as of yet. Once performed I feel as though this track will stir up the crowd. It's what we call a bangger especially for those who love to dance.
What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?
I generally listen to a lot of beats just to get a feel of what message I want to get across. Most of the time as I'm listening mental images come in my mind and after that the words just seem to flow right out on my tablet. My father always says that doesn't happen to every songwriter and believes it's a gift from above.
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
I was writing poetry and published a book called God's Thoughts.
Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?
Always believe in yourself is the best advice I can give it sounds simple but carries a lot of weight.

Originality, I love that word in my eyes it means being very different unlike any other in which I strive to become.
